As a fellow author likes to say, tongue-in-cheek: “There’s no rest for the writer.”
Whether or not our books are selling, whether or not we’re investing enough time and effort into our marketing (All authors have to do this nowadays), the urge to keep creating keeps our fingers moving on the keyboard!
It’s not about money and fame, is it? (Hello! Anyone out there?) It’s about what brings us satisfaction and personal joy. So here are some things just coming out, or just recently out, or in the process of being birthed.
New Book:
- My second volume of short stories—tentatively titled Widowed Bride and Other Stories—is completed and is in the process of being revised. I’m aiming for publication in the near future.
Short Stories:
- A new short story, “Paris,” will be published by PALABRA LITERARY MAGAZINE, based in Los Angeles, any day now.
Poetry:
- “By the L.A. Freeway” was published by CAPER LITERARY JOURNAL, based in New York, in August 2010.
- My poetry collection is being polished for publication in the near future.
